Days 1 - 14

What Our Body Is Doing

  • Increase in estrogen and FSH

  • Body produces follicles which contain an immature egg

  • Body is better able to access stored carbohydrates

    • Increase energy in workouts​

    • Increased focus

  • Body is better able to build muscle (low progesterone)

  • Training feels easier 

  • Symptoms: 

    • Improved mood

    • High Energy 

    • Focused 

    • High Sex Drive

Follicular Do's

  • Higher Intensity Workouts as you get further along in phase 

  • Listen to your body 

    • If you are sore or un-energized your body is telling you something --> Listen to it​
